Basel Aero served 4.5 mln passengers for 1H of 2017
Basel Aero, a part of Russia’s largest industrial diversified group Basic Element, announces the results of Krasnodar, Sochi, Anapa and Gelendzhik airports for the first six months of 2017. The passenger flow of Basel Aero airports during the period increased by 14% year-on-year.
In January-June 2017, the airports of Sochi, Anapa, Krasnodar and Gelendzhik operating within the Basel Aero airport holding served more than 4.514 million passengers. This is a 14% year-on-year increase compared to the same period in 2016 when the airports served over 3.975 mln passengers. The airports served over 4.169 million domestic air passengers which is +10% increase and 345,699 international passengers which is 75% more compared to the same period in 2016.
The number of airplanes departures increased by 13% and amounted to 20,403. Cargo and mail handling exceeded 6,843 tonnes (+11%).
For the first 6 months of 2017 the passenger flow of Sochi International Airport increased by 14% to 2.447 million people, including approximately 2.370 million domestic air passengers (+13%), about 74,000 international passengers (+47%).
The passenger throughput of Krasnodar International Airport in January – June 2017 increased by 18% to more than 1.547 mln people; including approximately 1.276 mln domestic air passengers (+10%), about 271,000 international passengers (+85%).
The passenger flow of Anapa International Airport in January-June 2017 decreased by 3% to about 435,000; the passenger flow of Gelendzhik airport grew by 32% and amounted to 84,000 passengers compared to the same period of 2016.
