Airport business

Basic Element’s airport business comprises four largest airports in the Southern Russia, as well as airports in Krasnoyarsk and Vladivostok.  

  • Basic Element launched airport business in 2006.

  • The Group’s airports serve over 13 mln passengers annually.

  • In 2012, Basic Element, Sberbank of Russia and Changi Airports International signed a shareholders agreement to establish a joint venture "Basel Aero" in managing airports in the Krasnodar region.

  • Basic Element completed large-scale modernization of the Sochi International Airport to ensure its efficient operations during Winter Olympics 2014. 

  • In February 2017 the consortium comprising Basic Element, Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Singapore’s Changi Airports International (CAI) completed the acquisition of shares in Vladivostok International Airport in Russia’s Far East

Strategic objectives of Basic Element's airport division include the development of the airport , providing high-quality service for airlines and passengers, increasing capitalization of existing assets as well as further expansion of the airport assets portfolio.
