Description of activities:
Military Manufacturing Company (VPK) coordinates the activities related to development, production, repair, sales and possible utilization of military hardware.

VPK (LLC) manages the Russian Machines enterprises specializing in military hardware production: OJSC Arzamass Machine-Building Plant, OJSC Hull (Zavod Korpusov, city of Vyksa) and OJSC Barnaultransmash.

Enterprises managed by the Military Industrial Company design and produce multifunctional and light armored vehicles, which are employed by land forces and other military formations and services in Russia (BTR-80, BTR-80A, BTR-90, BRMD-2A, the Tiger special-purpose vehicle and many others). The company's product list for state agencies includes over 80 items.

The company works with Russian security ministries and foreign clients, and oversees the fulfillment by Russian Machines enterprises of state procurement orders. In addition, VPK is responsible for adapting and modifying vehicles produced at GAZ Group for the use by security agencies.

The company produced 596 units of military hardware in 2008 and approximately 850 in 2009.

A Military-Engineering Center has been set up under the auspices of VPK. The center expands and modernizes the existing range of models, standardizes the assembly parts and components and records and carries out special orders for military equipment. The Center already conducts long-term R&D programs to design modern armaments for military forces and other security services.

GAZ Group presents new products at ComTrans-2010 exhibition

At the 10th International Specialized Exhibition ComTrans-2010 in Moscow, GAZ Group presents various modifications of the upgraded commercial vehicle GAZelle-BUSINESS, including GAZelle with LPG equipment launched into production together with Italian company OMVL. GAZ Group also exhibits its new buses.

GAZ Group completes debt restructuring

On March 1, 2010 GAZ Group completed restructuring of its RUR 39.3 billion bank debt. The Company entered into 5-year loan agreements with 22 Russian and foreign banks, providing for a two-year grace period for repaying the principal and 6 months grace for interest payments. Sberbank of Russia acted as organizer of the syndicate of GAZ Group's creditor banks, while Raiffeisenbank became documentation agent.
