NPF Socium provides mandatory pension insurance, as well as supplementary pension coverage to more than 500,000 Russian citizens, over 40,000 of whom receive a supplementary pension from the Fund.

More than 100 of Russia's largest companies have signed fund management agreements with Socium on supplementary pension provision for their employees. The include the GAZ Group, Zavolzhsky Crawler Vehicle Plant, Arzamas Machine-Building Plant, Krasnoyarsk Hydro and OJSC RUMO. 

The Fund has participated actively in the state pension co-financing program, accepting direct applications from retail customers, since October 1, 2008.

The Fund was ranked second in Russia in terms of contracts signed for mandatory pension insurance in 2008.

As of April 1, 2010 Socium was ranked:

  • 5th by the number of insured persons with pension savings under management;
  • 8th by the number of participants receiving a pension;
  • 7th by cumulative managed pensions;
  • 13th by the number of non-state pension fund investors;
  • 14th by assets.

Socium is a member of the National Non-Governmental Pension Funds Association, Pension Funds Association of Volgo-Vyatsk region and Arzamas Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs .

Basic Element Open for Talks on Ingosstrakh

Basic Element (Basel), the majority shareholder of Ingosstrakh, remains open for talks with the insurer's minority shareholders about raising the Generali's stake in the insurer, Interfax reported June 24 referring to Andrei Elinson, deputy CEO of Basel.
