Key operations of the Company include ore mining and processing, and ferromolybdenum production at a complete production process line which incorporates ore mining, crushing, milling, floatation, filtration, drying, roasting and smelting. Currently SMR produces molybdenum concentrate, ferromolybdenum, and copper concentrate as a by-product of ferromolybdenum process.

The objective of the Company is to maintain sustainable and long-term benefits of its leader's position in the Russian molybdenum industry, continuous enhancement of its performance and financial indicators, implementation of the best world mining practices.
