OJSC Kuban Airlines is based at Krasnodar International Airport and operates scheduled and charter flights to cities in Russia, the CIS, Europe and the Middle East. It carries passengers, cargo and post on its own Yak-42 aircraft.

The airline's own fleet includes 12 Yak-42 aircraft. Its strategic development priority is to expand its reach from Krasnodar and replace the Yak-42 on existing and new routes with more efficient and versatile aircraft like the Boeing 737. Kuban Airlines will start to operate flights using three Boeing 737 in the first quarter of 2010.

The airline carried 550,000 passengers in 2009, ranking it 13th among Russian airlines in domestic passengers and 22nd for international passenger numbers. The Russian Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) ranks the airline fifth by flight punctuality.
