Dmitry Vovk has been working at Basic Element since 2001. In his former post as Director, Human Resources, he was responsible for HR strategy, corporate social responsibility programs in education, property management and administrative matters, as well as supervision of the Company’s representative offices in Russia and abroad. At present, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Transstroy engineering and construction corporation, mining company Soyuzmetalresurs, the GAZ Group, as well as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the charitable foundation Volnoe Delo.

Rano Dzhuraeva, who previously headed the Aviation Sector, has been appointed Adviser to the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
 
Biography
 
Prior to joining Basic Element, Dmitry Vovk worked at the Russian oil company YUKOS, where he held senior positions in personnel management. After graduating from the Department of Psychology at Moscow State University, Dmitry Vovk earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree at Cranfield University’s School of Management in the UK. He also has a professional certificate from the British Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
 
Basic Element’s Aviation Sector - Background
 
Basic Element’s Aviation Sector manages the holding’s aviation assets. The largest company in the Sector is Basel Aero, which manages four airports in the south of Russia - in Krasnodar, Sochi, Gelendzhik and Anapa. Basel Aero Development is engaged in the development of non-aviation activities at airports, while Basel Aero Engineering is responsible for reconstructing and upgrading airports. The Aviation Sector also manages Kuban Airlines and Kuban, a territorial air agency which sells air transport services.
